The 2.55 is one of those bags whose design history is visible in almost every detail. Chanel’s Reissue 2.55 returns to the original vocabulary of the house: diamond quilting, aged leather with a naturally broken in character, and the rectangular Mademoiselle lock that distinguishes the style from the more familiar CC turn lock of the Classic Flap. In black, the 227 format has the proportions to work as an everyday shoulder bag without losing the slightly more considered feel that makes the Reissue so compelling.
