A coat that can be two coats is the best kind of winter decision. This Fendi piece is reversible: on one side, supple dark brown lambskin leather with a stand collar, patch pockets at the hip, and a row of round buttons down the front. Flip it, and the inside turns out to be a dense, plush shearling style pile in deep chocolate, edged in leather. Both sides are finished with Fendi’s contrast hand stitching in pale thread, which draws a line around the collar, cuffs, and hem like a drawing in the margin. The silhouette is long and straight, with a button closure and nothing to fuss with. One day it’s a sleek leather overcoat, the next it’s a cocoon of fur, and nobody has to know they’re the same garment.
